what is hospice?
Considered to be the model for quality compassionate care at the end of life, hospice provides a team approach to expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the patient’s and family’s needs and wishes.
The focus is on caring, not curing. Hospice is based on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and the hope that our loved ones will receive the support to allow us to do so.
In many cases, hospice care is provided in the patient’s home. Hospice is also provided in hospice facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities.

hospice need to know
Hospice is not about death. Hospice is about making the best of the life that is left. Consider bringing a blessing into your own life by being a part of the final days of someone else’s life. Being able to provide for them what they cannot provide for themselves. This should be an honor as well as a blessing. If you or your family member has been touched by hospice, you will appreciate the goals of Clyde’s Hope.
